Un certain sourire
In the company of her young lover Bertrand, Dominique, a student at the Sorbonne, knows well “the little mauve colour of boredom”. Everything changes when Bertrand introduces her to his uncle Luc, a seductive man in his forties with a light reputation. Near him, Dominique suddenly feels cheerful and funny, strangely alive, and agrees to go with him for a fortnight's holiday in Cannes.
What does she risk? Growing attached to this frivolous, slightly cynical man, who seems to be playing with her? Suffering afterwards? And then? Are pleasure, laughter, an unexpected complicity not worth more than boredom? Every danger lies in wait for Dominique on the shores of the Mediterranean. She does not yet know how one recovers from a love…
